About Us

Stuart is Head of ARK Invest Europe and Global Head of Distribution. As one of the original Co-Founders of Rize ETF (acquired by ARK Invest in 2023), he is highly experienced in the full life-cycle development and management of ETF platforms, having built two ETF franchises in Europe and developed some of the earliest and most successful thematic ETF funds in Europe. Stuart’s particular expertise centres around product development and structuring, sustainable and impact investing and legal and regulatory matters.

Stuart is a qualified lawyer and was previously Head of ETF Product Development at Legal & General Investment Management, and prior to that, at ETF Securities, where he was responsible for ETF development / structuring, platform management and legal matters. 

Anthony joined ARK in September 2023 as part of ARK’s acquisition of Rize ETF (now ARK Invest Europe), of which he was Co-Founder and Director. Anthony is a Managing Director and Head of Operations in Europe as well as a Director on the board of both ARK Invest UCITS ICAV and the promoter of the European ETFs. Anthony is responsible for the oversight of the portfolio management and the operations of the European ETFs as well as being responsible for the finances of the European business.

Prior to ARK’s acquisition, Anthony served as Co-Founder and Director of Rize ETF, Europe’s first specialist sustainable thematic ETF issuer launched in 2020. Prior to Rize ETF, Anthony served as Head of ETF Portfolio Management at Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM), a platform LGIM acquired from ETF Securities in 2018 where Anthony was also the head of ETF Portfolio Management. Anthony has been working in the ETF industry since 2009 with a focus on operations and portfolio management prior to being a co-founder of Rize ETF. Anthony earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Newcastle University.

Rahul joined ARK in September 2023 following ARK’s acquisition of Rize ETF (now ARK Invest Europe), of which he was Co-Founder and Director. Rahul is Global Head of Investment Products as well as Director on the board of the ARK Invest UCITS ICAV. Rahul leads ARK’s product development efforts, ensuring new strategies are aligned with market demand across regions and client segments. He works closely with the Commercial and Research teams, as well as external partners, to translate feedback into product concepts, support go-to-market readiness, and shape strategy specific messaging. Rahul also oversees tailored content for institutional and intermediary channels and help manage the full product lifecycle across both public and private offerings.

Prior to ARK’s acquisition, Rahul served as Co-Founder and Director of Rize ETF, Europe’s first specialist sustainable thematic ETF issuer launched in 2020. Prior to Rize ETF, Rahul served as Co-Head of ETF Investment Strategies at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), a platform LGIM acquired from ETF Securities in 2018. Working in the ETF industry since 2010, Rahul has developed a profound expertise in systematic investment strategies and product development, covering the full spectrum from ideation to strategy formulation.

Rahul earned his Master’s Degree in Finance from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. He is fluent in Swedish, French, and Hindi, and possesses conversational proficiency in Spanish.

Florian Berberich joined ARK in September 2021. As Head of DACH, Florian is responsible for the coverage of our entire range of clients in Germany, Austria & Switzerland and is consulting institutional investors on the use of thematic and sustainable ETFs by ARK Invest in the context of their portfolio construction. He is developing strategic initiatives and partnerships in the region and serves as sparring partner for portfolio managers and research analysts.

Prior to ARK, Florian worked as an Associate in the London office at Bloomberg LP where he covered German buy-side clients, focused on ETFs, ESG and Portfolio Management solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Birmingham. He is a native German Speaker born in Munich, Germany.

Paul joined ARK Invest Europe in May 2024 and has been promoted to Head of United Kingdom & Ireland at the end of 2024. Previously, Paul led the distribution team for CIRCA5000, a specialist impact ETF provider in the UK.

Prior to this, Paul worked for two separate third-party marketing firms across both public and private markets, distributing active funds to professional investors across Europe.

Carl Henrik Hagerup joined ARK Invest as the Head of Northern European Sales in November 2024. He is responsible for managing relationships with institutional and wholesale clients across the region, including asset managers, pension funds, insurance companies, wealth managers, and family offices.

Carl brings over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and has held several senior roles in the European ETF sector. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Head of the Netherlands and Nordics at 21Shares. Prior to that, he led institutional and wholesale client coverage for the Nordic region at SPDR ETFs, part of State Street Global Advisors.

Carl also spent four years in the Norwegian Army, primarily in the special forces, where he attained the rank of Second Lieutenant and served as a platoon leader.

He holds an MSc in Finance from Lancaster University and a BSc (Hons) in International Finance from the University of Hertfordshire.

Katherine joined ARK in January 2026 as Associate Director, Northern Europe, where she assists in managing relationships with institutional and wholesale clients across the region. She supports professional and institutional investors in their use of ARK’s investment strategies and helps strengthen ARK’s presence across Northern Europe.

Prior to joining ARK, Katherine worked at American ETF issuer First Trust, where she contributed to the firm’s sales and growth strategy across Sweden, Denmark and the UK. Before this, she held roles within Financial Markets and Capital Markets at Lloyds Bank, gaining broad experience across institutional banking and markets. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Bristol.

Thomas Hartmann-Boyce joined ARK in June 2021. As Global Head of Investment Solutions, Thomas works directly with ARK’s investment team to communicate in-depth knowledge of investment-level detail to internal and external clients.

Prior to ARK, Thomas was Vice President, Lead Portfolio Manager within the multi-asset solutions business at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for over five years where he managed customized portfolios for institutional clients. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 2015, Thomas held various client-facing positions at MSCI Inc. over the span of four years, with a key emphasis on business development within the exchangetraded funds team. Thomas is a CFA charterholder, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Management & Business from Skidmore College.

Tom Barker, CAIA joined ARK in October 2021. As a Director and Senior Product Specialist, Tom works closely with clients and the sales team to promote an understanding of the ARK product range.

Prior to ARK, Tom was an ETF Product Strategist at Invesco and worked at Jupiter Asset Management as well as holding a Senior Analyst position at alternative assets data provider Preqin. Tom is a CAIA charter holder and a graduate of Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Kate joined ARK in July 2024 as an Associate Director – Sustainability. Kate’s main responsibilities are managing the integration of ESG principles across investment activities, including portfolio construction, fund rebalancing, regulatory compliance, and leading the stewardship initiatives. Prior to ARK, she worked in various sustainability-focused roles, having spent two years at Berenberg as an ESG Research Associate and just under two years at Union Bancaire Privée as an Analyst for an impact-focused fund.

Kate holds a Masters of Science in Investment and Finance and a Bachelors in Economics and Politics from the Queen Mary University of London. In 2022, she completed the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Gaël Thienpont joined ARK Invest Europe (formerly Rize ETF) in April 2020. As Head of European Marketing, Gaël takes the lead in crafting and executing the marketing strategy for ARK across Europe, covering all communication channels and partner collaborations. His main objective is to maintain a unified brand presence and optimize the customer journey across all points of engagement.

Prior to ARK, Gaël worked across Europe in multiple industries and roles, ranging from Marketing Manager (Powerleague Group Limited), Business Developer and Project Manager (Justix GmbH), Country Lead (HelloLaw B.V.), and Legal Advisor (Business Assistance SPRL). He graduated from the University of Maastricht (Netherlands) with a Bachelor of Laws in European Law.

Tom joined ARK Invest Europe in July 2025 as European Marketing Manager. Tom works to promote ARK’s European business growth and strategic marketing initiatives across ARK’s product range.

Previously Tom worked in consulting for Alpha FMC in their distribution practice and latterly as the founding member of their marketing team. Tom holds the Diploma in Professional Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing and received his bachelors from the University of Oxford.

Rae joined ARK in October 2022. As an Associate – Marketing Executive, Rae focuses on developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies within the financial services sector. Her expertise spans international marketing efforts in various industries, including social welfare, sustainable food, and financial services.

Before joining ARK, Rae applied her marketing acumen in the social welfare and sustainable food sectors, gaining valuable experience in adapting marketing strategies to diverse industries. She completed her Master of Public Administration and Management at University College London and earned a Master of Science in Marketing from Durham University.
