Rahul joined ARK in September 2023 following ARK’s acquisition of Rize ETF (now ARK Invest Europe), of which he was Co-Founder and Director. Rahul is a Managing Director and Global Head of Index in Europe as well as Director on the board of the ARK Invest UCITS ICAV. An expert strategist in thematic and sustainable investments, Rahul is responsible for spearheading global systematic (self-indexed) strategies, overseeing European UCITS product strategy and implementation, and leading investment research alongside managing our product specialist team. His research focus includes the Energy Transition, Food Sustainability, and the Digital Economy.
Prior to ARK’s acquisition, Rahul served as Co-Founder and Director of Rize ETF, Europe’s first specialist sustainable thematic ETF issuer launched in 2020. Prior to Rize ETF, Rahul served as Co-Head of ETF Investment Strategies at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), a platform LGIM acquired from ETF Securities in 2018. Working in the ETF industry since 2010, Rahul has developed a profound expertise in systematic investment strategies and product development, covering the full spectrum from ideation to strategy formulation.
Tom Barker, CAIA joined ARK in October 2021. As a Director and Senior Product Specialist, Tom works closely with clients and the sales team to promote an understanding of the ARK product range.
Prior to ARK, Tom was an ETF Product Strategist at Invesco and worked at Jupiter Asset Management as well as holding a Senior Analyst position at alternative assets data provider Preqin. Tom is a CAIA charter holder and a graduate of Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Anthony joined ARK in September 2023 as part of ARK’s acquisition of Rize ETF (now ARK Invest Europe), of which he was Co-Founder and Director. Anthony is a Managing Director and Head of Operations in Europe as well as a Director on the board of both ARK Invest UCITS ICAV and the promoter of the European ETFs. Anthony is responsible for the oversight of the portfolio management and the operations of the European ETFs as well as being responsible for the finances of the European business.
Prior to ARK’s acquisition, Anthony served as Co-Founder and Director of Rize ETF, Europe’s first specialist sustainable thematic ETF issuer launched in 2020. Prior to Rize ETF, Anthony served as Head of ETF Portfolio Management at Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM), a platform LGIM acquired from ETF Securities in 2018 where Anthony was also the head of ETF Portfolio Management. Anthony has been working in the ETF industry since 2009 with a focus on operations and portfolio management prior to being a co-founder of Rize ETF. Anthony earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Newcastle University.
Stuart is Head of ARK Invest in Europe and was one of the Co-Founders of Rize ETF. He is highly experienced in the full life-cycle development and management of ETF platforms, having built two ETF franchises in Europe and developed some of the earliest and most successful thematic ETF funds in Europe. Stuart’s particular expertise centres around product development and structuring, sustainable and impact investing and legal and regulatory matters.
Stuart is a qualified lawyer and was previously Head of ETF Product Development at Legal & General Investment Management, and prior to that, at ETF Securities, where he was responsible for ETF development / structuring, platform management and legal matters.
Thomas Hartmann-Boyce joined ARK in June 2021. As Client Portfolio Manager, Thomas works directly with ARK’s investment team to communicate in-depth knowledge of investment-level detail to internal and external clients.
Prior to ARK, Thomas was Vice President, Lead Portfolio Manager within the multi-asset solutions business at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for over five years where he managed customized portfolios for institutional clients. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 2015, Thomas held various client-facing positions at MSCI Inc. over the span of four years, with a key emphasis on business development within the exchange traded funds team. Thomas is a CFA charterholder, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Management & Business from Skidmore College.
Brett joined ARK in February 2014 and has worked alongside Cathie for almost 15 years since their time at AllianceBernstein. As Chief Futurist, Brett drives ARK’s long-term forecasts across convergent technologies, economies, and asset classes, helping ARK dimension the impact of disruptive innovation as it transforms public equities, private equities, cryptoassets, fixed income, and the global economy. Brett also serves on the ARK Venture Investment Committee. Brett joined ARK as Director of Research, guiding and managing the proprietary research of ARK’s investment team.
Prior to ARK, Brett served as a Vice President and Senior Analyst on the Research on Strategic Change team at AllianceBernstein. In that role, Brett conducted thematic research, served on the thematic portfolio’s strategy committee under Cathie Wood’s stewardship, and advised portfolio managers across asset classes. His research topics included Global Energy in the Face of Carbon Dioxide Regulation; Social Media and the Rise of Facebook; the Reformation of the Financial Services Landscape; and the Emergence of Electric Vehicles.
Brett earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Cathie registered ARK Investment Management LLC (“ARK”) as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in January 2014. With over 40 years of experience identifying and investing in innovation, Cathie founded ARK to focus solely on disruptive innovation while adding new dimensions to research. Through an open approach that cuts across sectors, market capitalizations, and geographies, Cathie believes that ARK can identify large-scale investment opportunities in the public markets resulting from technological innovations centered around DNA sequencing, robotics, artificial intelligence, energy storage, and blockchain technology. As Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) and Portfolio Manager, Cathie led the development of ARK’s philosophy and investment approach and has ultimate responsibility for investment decisions.
Prior to ARK, Cathie spent twelve years at AllianceBernstein as CIO of Global Thematic Strategies where she managed over $5 billion. Cathie joined Alliance Capital from Tupelo Capital Management, a hedge fund she co-founded, which in 2000, managed approximately $800 million in global thematic strategies. Prior to her tenure at Tupelo Capital, she worked for 18 years with Jennison Associates LLC as Chief Economist, Equity Research Analyst, Portfolio Manager and Director. She started her career in Los Angeles, California at The Capital Group as an Assistant Economist. Cathie received her Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in Finance and Economics from the University of Southern California in 1981.
Cathie has been recognized as an influential fund manager across various outlets. In 2018, editors at Bloomberg acknowledged Cathie by selecting her to its second annual Bloomberg 50 list of people across business, entertainment, finance, politics, technology, and science who have defined global business. Additionally, Fortune named Cathie to its exclusive roundtable of experts in the annual Fortune Investors Guide: The Best Investing Advice for 2019 From Fortune’s Experts. In 2016, Cathie received the “Women in Finance – Outstanding Contribution Award” from Market Media. Cathie also has been a featured speaker at the World Economic Forum (China) in 2016 & 2017, the World Strategic Forum (Miami) in 2017, The Sohn Hearts and Minds Investment Leaders Conference (Australia) in 2018 and 2019, and Singularity University’s Exponential Finance in 2017 and Global Summit in 2019.
In 2018, Cathie launched the Duddy Innovation Institute at her alma mater, Notre Dame Academy in Los Angeles. The institute offers a challenging educational experience for young women eager to stretch their learning beyond the boundaries of traditional acquisition of knowledge, while influencing a new way of thinking and learning throughout campus.
Daniel is a Research Associate at ARK Invest. He primarily supports ARK’s Autonomous Technology & Robotics strategy. Prior to ARK, Daniel worked for three years in PricewaterhouseCoopers Dublin, Ireland. He was an audit senior in the Asset & Wealth Management audit department, auditing various types of public and private funds while also studying for his professional accounting qualification. Daniel is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), and a graduate of Dublin City University, Ireland. Daniel graduated summa cum laude in both his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting & Finance and Master of Science in Accounting. Daniel is the recipient of several awards for top academic performance in his undergraduate, graduate and professional examinations.
Frank joined ARK in April 2021. As Director of Research, Frank guides the research of the Next Generation Internet team. ARK’s Directors of Research recognize that disruptive innovation demands a dynamic and universal approach. By researching across sectors, industries, and markets, ARK seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the convergence among and market potential of disruptive innovations, thus sizing investment opportunities more appropriately. Frank joined ARK as an Analyst for the Next Generation Internet strategy and will continue with many of these responsibilities, focusing on cloud computing and cryptoassets.
Prior to joining ARK, Frank was a Senior Technology Consultant in Deloitte’s Cloud Engineering practice. His skillset includes data engineering, full stack web development, product management, and technology strategy. Additionally, Frank is passionate about the disruptive potential for decentralized applications across industries.

Kendrick Sands is Global Head of Consumer Finance Research at Euromonitor International with a focus on consumer finance. Based in Chicago, he has more than 10 years of experience in the industry. Kendrick leads the consumer finance research program for 47 researched markets and analyses global development of payment systems, payment regulation and innovation in the payment and financial services space. Kendrick advises clients across a range of industries on global payment and financial service trends. Kendrick holds a master’s degree from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Trinity College Dublin.
Maxim is a Senior Consultant at Euromonitor International with a focus on retailing and consumer finance. Based in Düsseldorf, he has more than five years of experience in these industries. Maxim is also responsible for the analysis of the local political economy within Euromonitor’s Düsseldorf research team and has a special interest in the risks and opportunities for businesses investing globally; activity that flows from politics. Maxim advises clients across a range of industries on how consumers shop and pay, particularly in view of the transforming impact of digitalisation.
Rabia is a Senior Consultant at Euromonitor International with a focus on services and payments. Based in Dubai, she has more than five years of industry experience. As part of her role, Rabia has led Euromonitor International’s Travel and Tourism research globally. More recently, she co-leads the Digital Consumer research. She is also increasingly involved in development of cross-industry regional and global insights-based content. Rabia advises clients across retailing, travel and tourism, consumer finance and digital commerce and payments. She is also an internal consultant across teams, providing support on key client facing projects, such as market analysis on IPOs. She has a keen interest in areas of public-private partnerships, and financial and digital inclusion in emerging economies.
Félix A. Boudreault is managing partner at Sustainable Market Strategies and Nordis Capital. Félix has 20 years of professional experience in energy, environmental policy and sustainable finance. He was previously the Director of International Climate Change Negotiation at Environment and Climate Change Canada. In this role, Félix led Canada’s negotiating team in the lead up to the Paris Agreement in 2013 and 2014. Before co founding SMS in 2018 , Félix has acted as a strategic advisor to think tanks, private companies, and international organisations such as the OECD and IFC on issues related to the economic opportunities created by the transition to a low carbon economy.
Lenka is managing partner at Sustainable Market Strategies and Nordis Capital with experience in research and capital markets. She was a strategist and managing editor for the US Investment Strategy service at BCA Research, the leading provider of independent global macro investment research. She was also portfolio manager at one of Canada’s largest pension funds. She courageously left the corporate world to complete her master’s in Management and Sustainable development at HEC Montréal due to her desire to be better equipped to effect positive change while pursuing a financial career.
Christopher (Chris) Versace is the Chief Investment Officer and thematic strategist at Tematica Research. The proprietary thematic investing framework that he’s developed over the last decade leverages changing economic, demographic, psychographic and technology landscapes to identify pronounced, multi-year structural changes. This framework sits at the heart of Tematica’s investment themes and indices and builds on his more than 25 years analysing industries, companies and their business models as well as financial statements. Versace is the co-author of “Cocktail Investing: Distilling Everyday Noise into Clear Investing Signals” and hosts the Thematic Signals podcast. He is also an Assistant Professor at NJCU School of Business, where he developed the NJCU New Jersey 50 Index.
Mark Abssy is Head of Indexing at Tematica Research focused on index and Exchange Traded Product development. He has product development and management experience with Indexes, ETFs, ETNs and listed derivatives. In his 24 year career, he has held product development and management positions at NYSE|ICE, ISE ETF Ventures, Morgan Stanley, Fidelity Investments and Loomis Sayles. He received a BSBA from Northeastern University with a focus in Finance and International Business.
